Configure Composite Fields

A composite field allows you to join multiple fields together into a single field with additional static text, and to establish Transformation Rules that modify the values of the component fields. Follow these steps to configure composite fields for the enrollment process.

  1. Click the Enrollment Designicon in the left pane.
  2. Click the arrow icon to expand the pane (if necessary).
  3. Click the arrow icon next to Enrollment Design to expand the menu. The current steps for the enrollment design display.
  4. Click to select a step.
  5. Click in the main pane to the right and the pane becomes active. Any existing fields in the step display.
  6. Click the Composite icon to add a composite field.
  7. Click the composite field to display its Properties pane.
  8. Scroll to the Advanced section of the Properties pane.
  9. Select one or more fields to use in the composite field under the Supported Fields list, which contains all Text, Date, and Auto Sequence fields in the Enrollment Design.
  10. Click the Add button to move the selected fields to the Component Fields list.
  11. Note: Fields in the Supported Fields list can be added to the Component Fields list one or more times.

  12. Click the Add Constant button to add constants to the composite field as desired. The Add Constant dialog box appears.
    1. Add one or more characters to exempt.
    2. Click Save.
  13. Click the Transformation Rules button to set transformation rules for the composite field as desired. The Transformation Rules dialog box appears.
    1. Select the Field being acted on.
    2. Select the Transformation.
    3. Enter a value in the Scope field to transform.
    4. Enter the Parameter(s), if applicable.
    5. Enter the Replacement, if applicable.
    6. Click Add Transformation Rule to set additional rules on the selected field.
    7. Click the Save button in the dialog box.
  14. Click the SaveSave Enrollment Design icon in the Enrollment Design.
