Enable and disable Gateways, Gateway Instances, and Gateway agents

Once you have configured a Gateway Instance, you can see the status of the Gateway agents. If required, you can disable an agent. This might be useful in order to better manage the traffic on your network. You can also delete a Gateway. When you delete a gateway, you also delete every Gateway Instance and all configurations associated with the Gateway.

Disable or enable a Gateway agent

Enabling or disabling an agent does not enable or disable the agent process running on the Enterprise Service Gateway. It only enables or disables it in Identity as a Service.

  1. Click > Resources > Gateways. The Gateways page appears.

  2. Click the Gateway Instance. The Gateway Instance Details page appears.

  3. Click next to the agent to disable it.

  4. Click next to the agent to enable it.

  5. Click Close to return to the Gateways page.

Disable or enable a Gateway Instance

  1. Click > Resources > Gateways. The Gateways page appears.

  2. Click next to the Gateway Instance.

  3. Click Disable to disable the Gateway Instance.

  4. Click Enable to enable a Gateway Instance.

  5. Click Close to return to the Gateways page.

Delete a Gateway or Gateway Instance

  1. Click > Resources > Gateways. The Gateways page appears.

  2. Click next to the Gateway Instance.

  3. Select Delete.

  4. Click Delete on the confirmation prompt.

Rename a Gateway or Gateway Instance

  1. Click > Resources > Gateways. The Gateways page appears.

  2. Click next to the Gateway Instance.

  3. Select Rename.

  4. Enter a new name for your Gateway or Gateway Instance.

  5. Click Rename.

    Note: A Gateway name must be unique and can contain only alphanumeric characters. A Gateway Instance can contain alphanumeric and special characters.
