Upgrade a Gateway Instance

Note: Before upgrading a Gateway Instance, take a snapshot of the Enterprise Service Gateway image. In the event of a failure, the upgrade logs should be captured and the appliance rolled back to the snapshot. Once rolled back, reactivate the Gateway Instance following the instructions in Create and Configure a Gateway Instance.

Note: If you are upgrading to 5.5, you must manually increase the RAM of your virtual machine from 2GB to 4GB.

Upgrade a Gateway Instance

1. Click > Resources > Gateways. The Gateways page appears.

2. Click next to the Gateway Instance you want to upgrade. Your Gateway Instance is upgraded to the new version.

   Note: You can view upgrade logs at /var/log/gateway_upgrade.log on your Virtual Machine or in /opt/entrust/gateway/enterprise_gateway_initialization.log.
